Deutsches Rotes Kreuz enlisted mans dagger. This heavy piece with a chisel tip blade was not considered a weapon by the Geneva convention. Shown together with the leaders weapon, the EM piece is clearly intended as a tool rather than for dress display.

Obverse langet displays closed wing eagle clutching cross on pebbled background. Wide fullered blade is marked with the patent mark 'GES GESCH' beneath treverse langet.

Sawtooth blade designed to enable cutting of splints etc. Note thickness of blade washer and location of dome headed retaining screw.
